The Conversation: Let That Shit Go!
It’s funny, this adult thing. Some days I think I got my shit together; glass half full kind of day. Kids seem healthy and well adjusted, work is moving along just fine and everything seems to be on track. Other days, I feel like I just can’t adult. But one of the good things that comes from being an adult is the awareness that this too shall pass.

Life is a bowl full of cherries. Really? Where does this phrase even come from? When was the last time you got a bag full of delicious cherries and not one rotten one? Life isn’t meant to be easy. Sometimes it’s a daily struggle. We’ve all been hit with disappointment, heartbreak and setbacks. But how does it serve us if we wallow in self pity, reside in a space of negativity and hang onto resentment? Don’t let that person or thing occupy real estate in your mind. What good can come from that? Nothing! Learn to love yourself first. We are much more willing to be kind and patient to others but forget to show ourselves that same grace. We are responsible for our own happiness. We can manifest that all on our own. Here’s an easy solution..LET THAT SHIT GO! Easy to say, hard to do. You bet! But the more you practice, the better you get at it.

Let go of all things you can’t control. Let go without hesitation or worry. When we learn to just let go, we give ourselves the power and freedom to be at peace. “Apart of me is so afraid to open my eyes because the very nature of waking up is to be alive, to be accountable, to be responsible for the health of my life and know I will need to take on the task of loving myself until full” Sarah Blondin
